Peptides for Erectile Dysfunction: Evidence and User Reports
Peptides for ED vs PDE5 drugs: what PT-141 and Melanotan II do differently, the evidence, and what anonymous users report. Not medical advice.

Short answer
First-line medicines for erectile dysfunction are PDE5 inhibitors (sildenafil, tadalafil and related drugs), which increase blood flow in the penis. Melanocortin peptides such as PT-141 act in the brain on desire and arousal pathways instead. PT-141 is not approved as an ED drug; its approved US use (as Vyleesi) is for low sexual desire in premenopausal women. Melanotan II is unapproved. What users report
#67 says daily tadalafil helped erections but not climax or feeling present; adding PT-141 changed desire and orgasm after 14 months of struggle. #109 describes strong erections from Melanotan II. #117 says PT-141 worked for both partners. These are anecdotes from a small file (about 10 PT-141 and 11 Melanotan II confessions).
ED can signal cardiovascular disease, diabetes, low testosterone, nerve injury or medication effects. New or worsening ED deserves a medical work-up, especially with chest pain, leg swelling or sudden neurological symptoms.

Community Q&A
- Do peptides fix erectile dysfunction?
- No peptide is first-line approved treatment for ED. PDE5 inhibitors are. Melanocortin peptides may affect arousal centrally; evidence and approvals differ from Viagra-class drugs.
- Is PT-141 better than Viagra?
- They work differently. Viagra-class drugs target blood flow; PT-141 targets brain arousal pathways. See the PT-141 vs Viagra topic for a side-by-side. Neither page is a recommendation.
- Can Melanotan II help ED?
- Some users report stronger erections (#109), but Melanotan II is not approved for ED and carries other risks such as mole changes (#82).
- Does this page give dosing advice?
- Peptide Confessions does not publish dosing, timing, injection or sourcing guidance.
