60+ female, low carb for years but struggled to lose ANY weight. Reluctant to try Reta but, wth, tired of the extra 50 plus pounds. Started at .5 mg 2×/wk. Immediate loss of appetite, but overeating was not my problem to begin with. First 6 weeks landed at 2 mg. Only 1 pound a week lost. Upped my dose to 3 mg for week 7, down a few more pounds, but now struggling to eat even 900 calories. I know I need to eat more, and am supplementing with protein drinks. I feel like my weight loss, even from day one, is only due to undereating and I know that's not sustainable. Feeling frustrated but going to go back under 2 mg to try to eat more calories and ride it out and see what happens. Diet prior to Reta mostly carnivore. The last few weeks tried to add some white rice/potatoes to see if better results. The struggle is real.
