Kisspeptin-10: The Short Fragment Explained

Kisspeptin-10 explained: the 10-amino-acid fragment used in hormone research, LH/testosterone themes, and user reports. Not medical advice.

Anonymous user report. Not medical advice. Peptides discussed are not FDA-approved for the uses described. Editorial process →

Short answer

Kisspeptins are peptides from the KISS1 gene that switch on GnRH release, which then drives LH and FSH. Kisspeptin-10 is the shortest active fragment (the last 10 amino acids) and is the version most used in human research on the reproductive axis, including short-term LH and testosterone responses. It is not an approved medicine, and research-setting effects are brief and closely monitored. Longer forms (kisspeptin-54) are used in some IVF research. Peptide Confessions does not publish dosing, timing, injection or sourcing guidance.

LH and testosterone in menSingle infusions or injections raise LH, and testosterone modestly, within hoursEffect is short; the fragment lasts only minutes in blood

Kisspeptin vs hCG and gonadorelin

Kisspeptin acts upstream of GnRH; gonadorelin is GnRH itself; hCG mimics LH directly at the testes or ovaries. Only hCG and some GnRH analogues are approved medicines for specific fertility and hormone uses. See gonadorelin vs hCG and peptides for testosterone.

What users describe

#284 is a man in his 40s who credits nightly kisspeptin with large changes in ejaculate volume. #64 turned to kisspeptin-10 and hCG from a forum after unsuccessful IVF; self-managing fertility drugs carries real risks and should involve a fertility specialist. Stories, not evidence.

Risks and sport

Research-market kisspeptin-10 is unregulated, so identity, purity and sterility are unknown. Hormone changes can affect fertility, mood and blood pressure. WADA prohibits LH-releasing factors, including kisspeptin, in male athletes.

What users report here

Community Q&A

Is kisspeptin-10 approved?
No. It is used in human research but is not an approved medicine.
Is kisspeptin banned in sport?
Yes. WADA lists kisspeptin among prohibited LH-releasing factors for male athletes.
Is kisspeptin-10 the same as kisspeptin?
It is the shortest active fragment of the kisspeptin family. Kisspeptin-54 is a longer form.
Does kisspeptin-10 raise testosterone?
Human research shows short-term LH and testosterone rises in controlled settings. That is not evidence for unsupervised use.
Does this page give dosing advice?
Peptide Confessions does not publish dosing, timing, injection or sourcing guidance.
